Frank/Karen is balm to the soul. And also really angsty in its own way, of course, but they develop a mutual understanding that's really beautiful to watch. Plus it looks like s3 is coming out soonish(?), so hopefully that'll resolve some of the plot threads s2 left hanging.
My to-read list (both fic and "real" books) is so ridiculously long at this point that I wonder if I'll ever get to the end of it, but I'll definitely let you know what I think when I check that story out! Girl Genius is actually on my list too, now that you mention it! And oh, was it the "Marci Stahl Is Better Than You" series? I LOVE those fics with all my heart. (Plus, yeas, Matt and Marci are both constantly jealous of/scheming for Foggy's attention, this is just canon.)
Yes!! And so, along with really admiring her steadfastness and goodness, Ben also has a convenient scapegoat for all the good (or good-ish) things he's suddenly doing: "Look, she's the one who really wants to do all this."
