Fandom Stocking (Gifts + Fills)
Jan. 20th, 2019 04:39 pmI got two amazing stories, plus some lovely icons, holiday wishes, book recs, and baking recipes! My whole stocking is here, and the two stories are Find You There Inside This Night by
sathari , a sweet Reylo fic with a political edge that I found really cool, plus lots of smart worldbuilding details and a nice focus on friendship and family as well as romance (you can find all 3 parts [!!] in my stocking), and Once a Year by
sholio , a post-s1 Punisher fic where Zach and Leo organize a birthday party for Frank--which was guaranteed to delight me based on that premise alone, but it's also full of wonderful (and bittersweet!) character development, lots of banter between Frank and the Liebermans, and Leo making Frank promise to come to her bat mitzvah...which I can only hope and pray will become a sequel fic. :D Once a Year is on AO3.
I ended up writing three stories--not as many as I'd hoped to, as usual, but still not a bad turnout, all things considered:
and my heart was colder when you'd gone (Penny Dreadful): A 5+1 fic featuring Vanessa & Sir Malcolm, aka the angsty, Gothic father-daughter duo of my heart.
The Comfort of Strangers (Earthsea): A canon-divergent fic set after The Tombs of Atuan; Penthe escapes the Tombs with Ged and Tenar.
you're calling to me (i can't hear what you've said) (The Punisher): Frank calls Leo from the road.
