Well, okay, I keep repeating myself but this is a masterpiece and I'd gladly go on a crusade for it. It's creepy and weirdly charming and there's plenty of loyalty and (loss of) family. I think it's more of a middle-grade fantasy than young adult but the uderlying sociology and psychology - at least imo - is more suited for adults. Also, lots of sarcasm. And magic.
