Oh, yes, I thought she probably was--didn't know that the author confirmed it, though, and I didn't know if anyone would jump out of the woodwork to tell me I'd completely misread that relationship (though it seemed pretty clear to me, but anyway). Glad to hear that the second book is still pretty good!
