I actually made the connection in the other direction when I saw Twelfth Night at the STC in Dec. 2017-- I wasn't familiar with it or the play beforehand, so my first thought was, oh, this sounds like the song from Ghost Quartet. Ironically, the actor who played Feste (who was AMAZING) had actually been in the ensemble of Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 on Broadway...
