Day 15

Talk about why you participated in Snowflake &/or what you got out of it.

Well, I don't think my answer is all that different from anyone else's--I love the sense of community, I love that the challenge itself is low-pressure, and I love starting off the year with a bunch of prompts that give me an excuse to post about the things I love. I also love reading other people's posts, even though I have yet to keep up with them all; it's a great way to meet new and interesting people, and to find new reading material--I love that reccing all different types of things and all different types of stories is such a big part of this challenge. I've already read one of the books recced to me on my post for the Day 6 challenge (the fannish wish list) and absolutely adored it...and this was a book I might not have read, or would have taken a much longer time to get around to reading, otherwise.
