I made some progress through my pile of abandoned books by finally finishing IT yesterday. It's the first Stephen King book, aside from a couple of short stories and On Writing, that I tried reading, and even though I loved every single minute of it I bought this book back in November. It's a relief to have it checked off the list. To celebrate, I'm starting another probably-months-long reading project with The Stand. Only around sixteen chapters in, but I love it already!

It's been years since I read it, but I believe it was in Derry, the same as with many of his other books. I went through a phase of reading his novels, one after another - probably about 20 of them, and always enjoyed the occasional reference that would pop up in one story, of events from that took place in that town from other another.

I love little Easter egg references like that! (S.E. Hinton is another author who does a lot of them, and it always made me so happy to come across one in her stories.)
